Nokia N9, generasi pertama dan terakhir smartphone MeeGo

Selain bergelut di jajaran ponsel khusus pemula seperti Nokia X2-02, Nokia juga tak mau ketinggalan dengan menghadirkan smartphone kelas atas yakni Nokia N9. Desain Nokia N9 memang unik, yakni mengusung unibody, antara front dan back cover semua menyatu dalam kesatuan material. Desainnya oleh banyak pihak disebut simpel dan elegan, karena tidak banyak ornamen di bodinya. Hanya ada tombol volume dan tombol on/off di samping kanan. Pada sisi depan, tampak dipenuhi oleh layar yang berukuran 3,9 inchi dengan bidang pada elemen luar yang berlapis bahan glossy. Jenis layarnya menggunakan jenis AMOLED dengan 16 juta warna dan resolusi 480x854 pixels. Sifat layar sentuhnya adalah capacitive, menjadikan respon layar pada sentuhan begitu responsif.

Nokia N9 tidak dilengkapi slot memori eksternal, jadi hanya mengandalkan memori internal yang berkapasitas 16/32/64 Gb. Slot SIM card dan port MicroUSB diberi penutup sehingga tersembunyi.



Untuk kehandalan kamera, Nokia N9 dibekali resolusi 8 Mpix dengan lensa Carl Zeiss. Fasilitas pada menu kamera terbilang lengkap, yakni scene, white balance, exposure, face detection, geo tags, bahkan N9 dibekali dual LED flash. Video-nya pun bisa merekam dengan kualitas HD (720p@30 fps). Hasil foto dan video pun bisa dengan cepat diunggah ke internet.




Kinerja OS MeeGo yanng diusung Nokia N9 disokong oleh prosesor 1Ghz Cortex A8 CPU, PowerVR SGX530 GPU, TI OMAP 3630 chipset, plus 1Gb RAM. Dengan spesifikasi tersebut, maka sangat wajar bila kinerja smartphone ini sangat cepat. Tampila grafis pun terlihat begitu tajam dan jernih.

Nokia N9 mengadopsi jenis baterai Lithium ion dengan kapasitas 1450 mAh. Mulai dari kondisi full, hingga baterai terkuras habis dalam kurun waktu 6 jam, itu dengan asumsi pemakaian aplikasi cukup tinggi.
