Ya, Huawei U8300 ini menerapkan desain batangan model qwerty yang cukup tipis dengan ketebalan sekitar 1.1 mm saja, kalau dilihat-lihat ia menyerupai sebuah coklat pasta berukuran besar. Penampang layar yang dimilikinya cukup lebar, layar sentuh resistif berukuran 2.6 inci resolusi QVGA.Handphone terbaru Huawei U8300 ini termasuk sebuah smartphone karena memiliki sistem oparasi terbuka karena Huawei nenanamkan OS Android v2.1 Eclair pada ponsel ini. Konektifitasnya cukup lengkap, mulai dari GPRS, EDGE hingga 3G dan HSDPA. Tak lupa WiFi juga turut disematkan.
Kamera Huawei U8300 beresolusi 3.2 megapiksel dengan tambahan lampu flash, sayangnya tak ada fitur autofokus dan kamera depan. Sebagai smartphone ponsel Android qwerty layar sentuh ini memiliki fitur document viewer, GPS dan media player berupa music atau video. Baterai yang disematkan berkekuatan 930 mAh jenis Li-Ion yang bisa bertahan sema 450 jam standby.
