Teknologi Sony Mobile BRAVIA engine membuat tampilan Sony Xperia U cukup memukau, meningkatkan kualitas grafis selama pengguna memutar video dan memainkan game. Dilengkapi dengan 5 megapiksel kamera di bagaian belakang dengan kemampuan merekam video 720p HD video, bukan Full HD video.Sony Xperia U hadir dalam beberapa pilihan warna, termasuk warna shocking pink dan sedate black.
