Handphone ini merupakan suksesor dari Motorola RAZR. Namun, jika Motorola RAZR dikenal sebagai handphone dengan desain super tipis, lain halnya dengan Motorola RAZR Maxx.

Motorola RAZR Maxx ini memiliki baterai berkapasitas super besar, yakni baterai Li-Ion 3300 mAh. Baterai ini mampu bertahan hingga 17 jam 40 menit talk time dan stand by hingga 607 jam. Sangat cocok bagi Anda yang biasa berlama – lama dengan gadget.

Pada awal peluncurannya, handphone ini memang menggunakan OS Android Gingerbread 2.3.6. Namun, pihak Motorola menjanjikan bahwa pada saat peluncuran di tanah air, RAZR Maxx ini memakai OS Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.

Layar RAZR MAXX  berukuran 4.3 inci. Layar ini mempunyai resolusi 540 x 960 piksel dan dilengkapi kaca pelindung anti gores Gorilla Glass. HP Android ini juga dibekali dengan kamera 8 MP yang mampu merekam video HD 1080 p.
